All of the other replacement filters are serving and protecting that membrane. If the pre-filters fail to work due to poor quality, your RO membrane will not give you a 99.9% Reduction rate.

The primary function of a sediment filter is to remove large and fine particles from drinking water, such as sand, dirt, silt, and rust particles.
Removal of such particles allows for a better performance of all the following filters, such as carbon block or GAC filters.

All GAC filters are made with organic, high-quality coconut shell carbon.
