The different filters represent the different stages that the water goes through while being purified.Generally - Pre-Filters and Post-Filters in RO systems can last aroumd 8 To 12 months between changes.
 
Only the Original Organic RO membranes can last as long as 5 years 
 
 Stage 1-
Sediment filter is the first filter installed in all  of the Waterworld USA - Proline Plus Reverse Osmosis water filter systemes .
The main function of a sediment filter is to remove large and fine particles from a drinking water, such as sand, dirt, silt, and rust particles. Removal of such particles allows for a better performance of all the following filters, such as Carbon Block or GAC filters.

Lifetime: Replace every year, depending on the water quality.

This filter is wrapped and sealed and meets NSF Standards and Regulations. Filter will fit any Residential Reverse Osmosis Unit that features standard 10” filter housing
 
Stage 2-
Reverse osmosis Organic Activated Carbon GAC filter compatible with Waterworld USA - Proline Plus and this filter cartridge is well-known for their highly efficient reduction of chlorine taste and odor
taste and odors of many organic chemicals and volatile organic compounds.
All GAC filters are made with Organic high quality coconut shell carbon.
Micron rating: 5 Micron.

Lifetime: Replace every year, depending on the water quality.

Organic Original Activated Carbon Block Filter compatible with Waterworld USA - Proline Plus, it's made of fine coconut shell carbon 
remove odors and tastes of many organic compounds, chlorine especially. Though, because this filters are made of a packed carbon (forming a cylinder block), they offer a much finer filtration of suspended particles and dirt.

Being made of high quality coconut shell carbon they stabilize the water tasting qualities and further remove any traces of bad tastes and odors.
